about

welcome to red grapevine

In one of the oldest restaurant locations in Armidale, upstairs on the corner of Jessie and Beardy streets, red grapevine was established in 2004 and has brought to New England a rustic yet contemporary restaurant & bar.

The menu offers a variety of modern Italian entrees, mains and  homemade pasta dishes. The chef’s speciality however, is his traditional hand stretched thin crust pizza made with fresh top quality ingredients which you can enjoy in the restaurant, in the bar with a drink or as a take away.

The homemade desserts are also excellent, perfect for a late night treat, complemented by an espresso coffee, loose leaf tea or a local port. You can also choose to sit in the  bar by the fire and  indulge yourself with a cocktail, cold beer or  a wine from the boutique list. Wines that complement the food, and have been selected and bought directly from wineries locally and around NSW.

Red Grapevine also supports local artists with exhibitions of work displayed in the restaurant. These, like the specials board, change regularly.

Families are welcome, and the children have not been left out, with the red Grapevine kids’ food menu available for the little ones.  Here is a warm, elegant and welcoming environment with well informed & friendly staff, catering for those who want to experience a three course meal or others who prefer to just share a pizza and have a drink.
